European States Blocking Israeli Weapons!

Yo, this is awesome. Probably won't last long, but hey, it's a start.
A number of European states are refusing to allow El Al cargo planes carrying Israel Defense Forces equipment from stopover landings in their airports.

The refusal came from states considered friendly with Israel, including Britain, Germany and Italy

Danny Rubinstein wrote a great op-ed in Ha'aretz today, pointing out that while the right-wing pro-war protestors in Israel are demanding a commission of inquiry to investigate the government's failings during the war, no one is addressing the root cause: the continuing occupation of Palestinian land. Rubenstein wants a commission to investigate the occupation:
For all its importance, and all the shock in Israel over what happened in the Lebanon war, this war cannot be compared to what has been happening for almost 40 years in the territories occupied by Israel during the Six Day War.

Thank you. Hopefuly I'll have time in the next couple of days to translate some more Benny Tziper from his blog on Ha'aretz. I'm starting to think he's the best commentator writing right now. It's such a (predictable) shame that Ha'aretz doesn't translate him into English.

I wish I could read Swedish so I could read your blog too...
